New Gods of Mankind (Atomic Array 006)

New Gods of Mankind (Atomic Array 006)
Luke Johnson talks about New Gods of Mankind from Dark Skull Studios. Ever want to play a god? This game might just be what you’re looking for.
Being a game about godhood, it’s probably no shock that the section on deities is robust. It’s easily one of the best documents we’ve ever read on creating gods for any game - and easily used even if you aren’t running New Gods at the moment. One of the coolest elements was the optional board game adaption rules, which allows you to play New Gods… well, as a board game. Two games for the price of one!

What do a Medusa, the Kraken, and the Olympain pantheon all have in common? They all appear in Clash of the Titans, the classic film adaption of the myth of Perseus and his quest to save the Princess Andromeda.

Well if we let in swear words we have to add in an explicit rating when filing our podcast with Itunes. That might turn people away from giving the show a try. Certain shows need to be explicit or they can’t really do what they want to do, but in Atomic Array, racy language doesn’t really add much.
Personally, I love to swear. I’m swearing right now. I swear!
Understood… And I have no qualms with that… I’m mixing up podcasts now… I thought you guys had some f-bombs in a previous cast until I remembered it was the boys at AnimalCast that were dropping them and not you guys…
Swearing is like a fine garnish, to be added at the right time to make a point or generate a guffaw now and then, but if used all the time, can make conversation taste like sh… Well, poopie!
And to let off some steam… Swearing is good for that too.
I agree completely. When I swear, it’s usually for effect (or a prayer to the god of accidentally kicking furniture with bare toes), but I have a friend who uses obscenity as a crutch and he sounds like a second grade dropout.
Whenever we first hang out in person, Sean, we can swear to our hearts’ content, mother@#$%$%!
If only a man could be allowed to confront the devil one on one, who do you think can be brave enough to withstand his person? Apart from scripturals examples.
Well, Daniel. I’m not going to be kitsch and say Chuck Norris.
I’ve known many people who cannot be tempted by worldly gain or vices, and are seemingly unafraid of death. I suppose they might stand the best chance in such a duel.

Kick butt podcast guys! However, do you now have to censor yourselves with the podcasts?? I distinctly heard a censorship bleep during the podcast when somebody mentioned a word that rhymes with click!! And no, it wasn’t prick! : P (Did you notice now I too am endeavoring to censor myself.. Well, until I mentioned the prick thing and then I pretty much blew it!)
Loved the conspiracy rant and I would love to see the moonlanding set in Ed Healy’s basement!!
FRANKENTHEORIES!! Rock!
