CthulhuTech RPG (Atomic Array 013)

CthulhuTech RPG (Atomic Array 013)
Ed stumbled into a game of CthulhuTech at an FLGS back in April. It was a lot of fun, and he’s been trying to get the creators on the Array since our first episode. It’s no secret that we love our Lovecraft. Adding mecha? Yes, please!
Matthew Grau joined us to talk about this new game from WildFire LLC. We had a great time talking with him. It’s obvious, from the start, that Matt really loves what he does. It’s clear he loves his game, as well.
NOTE: We called Matt in the bowels of an arcanotech factory, so if you hear any whirls and whistles, don’t listen too closely. You may go crazy.

We wrap up the Pathfinder give away, and tell you how you can win one of two CthulhuTech book sets. Each set will include the Core Rulebook, Vade Mecum (the CthulhuTech Companion) and Dark Passions (the CT cult book). Don’t forget, you have until January 9th to enter the Alpha Omega give away.

Thanks, Thomas. I’ve got a new compressor but I have yet to learn its ins and outs and so just leveled it by eye on Pro Tools. The bouncing sound levels are our only recurring complaint with the show, but I’m learning as I go, as mixing this podcast is my first real experience with engineering. Advice is welcome and appreciated!
I’m about to get the latest version of Pro Tools, which may have a different compressor altogether. I promise to learn THAT one. ;)
I can help you out if you want. I’d be happy to master or mix your casts for you. Drop me an email. Peace.
Excellent podcast, gents! I just started listening with episode 11 and I’m hooked. Thanks for bringing out the Cthulhu-love. I’ve seen that book a few times in the local game store and wondered whether it rocked as much as I hoped it did. Now I’m going to have to check it out. Thanks!
Just got my copy from the Paizo loot I won from Episode 12… AWESOME. When the copy has dried from my drool, I shall have to share with my group the glory of being slaughtered by the Mi-gou. Mwa ha ha haaa!

Thank you for cover this great game. It needs all the support it can get. The only suggestion I have is that you need to use a compressor on everyone’s individual audio channels before you mix down (sorry, I’m an audio engineer), The levels were all over the place and Matt was often hard to hear. Keep up the good work.
